[IY] Episode 20 & 21 (03 05/12 2010) - Cow Tales

[Ep. 20]

This episode, Shinyoung, Yuri, Hara, Sunhwa, and Hyuna are grouped together to learn more about taking care of their chickens. Much talk of chicken mating occurs, the girls look like they feel awkward about it, hahaha.

They end up eating raw eggs because apparently it improves the throat and improves vocals. They show how they sound before eating and after eating the raw egg. Hara goes first, she doesn't really look like she wants to swallow it but she ends up following through. Yuri is next after her.
She practices her solo line from "Oh!" Yuri is already having troubles with wanting to swallow the raw egg, but she does it successfully as well. Yuri and Hara show off how their voices sound much better, of course they were all just joking around.

Meanwhile, the other half of G7 are on a bus to go visit a famous local elder who also starred in a movie/documentary. It was a movie/documentary about the life of this elderly farmer and the incredibly strong bond he has with his ox (which eventually died). The group, Sunny especially, was taught about the basics of learning how to train and take care of the ox that they have back at their home (Purumi). They soon find out that they'll have to eventually pierce their ox's nose as it is needed in order to train and more importantly, control the ox.

Before they start to learn ox training, they pay their respects to the deceased ox and give well wishes for their own. Thereafter, they start to learn how to shout the commands, lead the ox, and how to use ox-driven plow.

Back with the other group, they end up going on a tour to a cave. They enter the cave and discover bats! Yuri is chosen to capture a bat and timidly grabs one. They all look at it more closer in fascination. Soon, Yuri starts to freak out when the small bat starts to cling onto Yuri's glove with it's creepy bat foot, haha! They all start to freak out and Yuri quickly puts the bat back onto the cave wall. They recover their wits and jokingly start to flash their lights and pretend they're at a night-club, lol.

Back with the ox-training team, after successfully learning some of the basics, the elder rewards Sunny with a brand new bell for the ox and a nose piercing lead.

The other team is now at a strawberry farm to pick some strawberries! They look like they're eating more than picking; Yuri looks especially pleased as she eats, lol. The girls take their time greeting the fellow villagers picking strawberries. A shy young boy is a big fan of Yuri but is incredibly shy that he can't even look at her and awkwardly takes the strawberry that Yuri offers to him, lol. Later, Shinyoung gets Yuri to do a gag CF of the strawberries with her.

After, they do a role-change game yet again. Hyuna acts like Hyomin, which causes Sunhwa to really want to see her (misses her). Yuri acts like the adult-idol Narsha and does a perverted joke with two strawberries and jokes that two of the smaller strawberries are Hara's (subtle joke), bwahaha!

[Ep. 21]

In this episode they start off with Shinyoung, Sunhwa, Hyomin, and Narsha checking up on the growing Korean lettuce. They are growing nicely and they are happily surprised and taste a bit of it!

Meanwhile, Hara and Hyuna go to check on the chickens and look to find more eggs. This time they find about 11 eggs and they're all intact thanks to putting in a proper nest for the chicken to lay eggs in! They eggs are quickly taken from them by the Chonjangnim and they are used as a prize for G7 to win later.

G7 gather up (minus Yuri since she was out with the flu) and they discuss about some of their tasks to do. Today, their ox (Purumi) is to get its' nose pierced and marks its' step into becoming an adult.

Three of the village elders that usually appears on the show are here to pierce Purumi's nose for them. They assure them that they'll take good care of him. Sunny looks a bit distressed. Before piercing its' nose, they offer it some Korean rice wine to make it feel more at ease and part of the traditional process. Hara and Hyomin prepare some food for it to eat as Sunny and the rest go to pet and soothe the calf.

Finally, it's tied up and prepared to get its' nose pierced. While the rest of the girls stay back, Sunny is up front and close to Purumi the whole time looking very concerned and sad. It's nose is finally pierced and most of the girls look away while Sunny looks bravely on.

Thankfully, the procedure went well and it bled very little. Still, Sunny finally sheds some tears because she feels very bad for Purumi, Shinyoung and the rest of the girls go to console her. After, they give it some food and its' favorite soybean water. Thus, marks the end of Purumi's coming-of-age ceremony!

Next, G7 are to learn how to use farming vehicles (Yuri appears here)! They split into two rivaling teams and learn to use different types of tractors and plows. Shinyoung, Sunny, Hyomin, Sunhwa, and Hyuna are one team while Taewoo, Yuri, Hara, and Narsha are in the other. The teams go their separate ways and learn how to use the vehicles!

Finally, when they learn the basics in how to operate the vehicles they start their race competition! The winners get to eat the eggs that were collected earlier! The first race is between Hara and Sunhwa! In the end, Hara wins the round! Next round, Hyuna and Narsha go head to head! For this round, Narsha wins! The final race is between Sunny and Yuri! The round looked like it should have gone to Sunny but Yuri is actually the winner since her tractor was bigger and slower than Sunny's even though she started off first and finished first!

Taewoo's team won all the rounds and makes them the ultimate winner! They get toy tractors to play with and also get to eat the delicious eggs that were hard-boiled! :D
